Local Government and the Draft Climate Change Bill

The Joint Committee on the Draft Climate Change Bill set up this online forum to gain the views of local authority officials and councillors, and members of the public, on the role of local government in the drive to reduce carbon emissions and combat climate change.

The posts the Committee received, along with the written and oral evidence gathered during the inquiry, helped shape its report to Parliament.

The Committee published its Draft Climate Change Bill report on 3 August 2007. An online consultation report is included as an annex.
